Free Baggage Allowance

Each customer may bring two bags free of charge until June 1, 2008. On or after June 1st each customer may bring only one bag free of charge. Customers who booked their reservation prior to May 1, 2008, may continue to bring two bags free of charge.  Each bag must NOT exceed 62 inches in overall dimensions (length + width + height) and can NOT exceed 50 pounds.

Second Bag Fee:  (Effective June 1, 2008) Customers who booked their flight on or after May 1, 2008, will be charged an additional $20 fee for checking a second bag on flights on or after June 1, 2008. 3rd + Baggage Customers checking three or more bags on their flight will be charged a $75 fee per bag if they booked on or after May 1, 2008.  

Overweight or Oversized Baggage Overweight or Oversized baggage may be checked on a load availability basis per the guidelines below: 

Overweight Bags Fee
51 - 70 pounds $50 per bag
71 - 99 pounds $100 per bag
Bags over 99 pounds Will not be accepted

Oversized Bags Fee
63 - 80 inches $75 per bag
Bags over 80 inches Will not be accepted

Exceptions to Size and Weight Restrictions on Domestic Flights:
Military customers with one duffel bag, b-4 bag, or sea bag which exceeds the 62 inches in dimensions in lieu of one free bag.  Hanging garment bags, sample bags, and bags with outside length, width, and height exceeding 80 inches, up to 10 inches, will be accepted if flexible.  Please check information on specific sporting equipment for guidelines on transporting them on JetBlue.
